How can we improve the number of people attending our block sale this weekend? We are having a block sale this weekend here in Holland...we have 6 families confirmed and 3 maybe's...have posted ads in all the local papers, all the local Yahoo groups for yard and garage sales, have put signs up at stores/laundry mats, and have tons of signs for outlying intersections to point potential customers who didn't see the ads in the right direction. The ads have all the good "highlights" from everyone's sales. what else can we do to improve traffic flow to our sales? best way to display photos for sale? I would like to sell some of my photos at a craft mall booth. Any advice on the best way to display them & package for sale? Dancing Stage for sale in Australia? I've been hunting for this game for a while and i can't seem to find it ANYWHERE where prices are actually reasonable. Is this a good price for pre-cut photo mats? and general question about matting.? This is the first time I'm buying pre-cut mats for photos, so I'm trying to figure this stuff out on my own. I found a clearance sale on 9"x12" double-matted photo mats from mat shop.com--the price is $42.00 for 25 mats (which is $1.70 per mat). The website says they're selling at clearance because they have an odd-sized opening (but just happens to be the dimensions I'm looking for). So here are a some questions. 1) Is this a good deal considering these are good quality mats (not sure if they are archival quality though). 2) Is there a clear distinction between archival and non-archival mats, or are there various gradings? 3) I read a DIY book about matting where the author said to be careful about cutting your own mats because it can lead to carpal tunnel. Presenting Photography for Sale to Public? I currently sell my photography online, but have been offered a chance for a mini-show at a cafe nearby. When selling online, I find it easier to sell photos that are unmatted so the customer has their options, but I am sure that this is not the way to present photographs to people in person. I know how to spray mount photographs, and have previously sold photos that were merely spray mounted on uncut matboards and placed in polypropylene bags. Is this an appropriate way to sell photos? I would like to avoid having to sell all of my photos behind cut mats, as some of my photos are cropped to unusual sizes and I do not have to time to order custom cut mats. Naughty step/mat as discipline tool? I have seen lots of 'naughty mats' for sale in various places, based on the idea that after warning your child, when they are naughty you place them on the naughty mat/step for the number of minutes corresponding to their age and then they are expected to apologise. What do you think of these? Would you use them? Garage flooring protecting Mat? I am going to be renting a house. It is on the market right now for sale and I need to keep it "show ready." Consignment sales - Would these items sell? I like to sew. I sew baby bibs and toddler nap mats. I also make fleece baby blankets. Sales Rep. Give them territory or product like or both? I am hiring sales rep for my luxury bedding line which includes: bedding, baby bedding, pet beds, products for spa salons (balnkets, pillows etc) and meditation mat. I already have two candidates. I think I would like to have one more, 3 altogether. Since I am a new company and do not have much money they will work only in our state (NY) and also maybe NJ.Cannot afford to pay traveling expenses now. I am not sure how should I go about territory. Is it better to give one NY, one NJ and let them try to sell all my product lines or separate their account by targeted markets (bedding, pet bed etc)? If I have 3 sales rep. it will be hard for me to split the territory btw 3.... I think it would be better then give them accounts so each of them may focus better of one particular market (targeted segment bedding, pet pads etc) but then again one or the other may not like or feel like the other product is better to sell? Free vacations\time share? I recently purchased a "free vacation to Florida". Printed a copy from their web page of all that was included. The bottom of the last page said "adv. mat'l used for soliciting sales of vacation ownership plans". I'm sure this means a very active sales promotion to buy a time share or something. HELP me come up with an excuse to take the trip, but not buy anything. What excuse works? I'm totally not interested in buying anything.

Two weeks ago I purchased a 2006 Toyota Matrix from a Toyota dealership. It has 4000 miles on it and had been a program car. The car salesman represented it as almost new. AFTER I purchased it, he told me that it only had one key with one remote, but that he would look for the other ones. A couple of days later I called to ask him about the key and he said it only came with one. Of course, the manual said it came with 3. I went back to the dealership to get my floor mats and radio antenna, which he hadn't given me at the purchase and asked for the other keys. He said they didn't have them. I probably would not have bought this car had he told me this up front. Do you think the dealership owes me the other keys? Also, the key number was not on this one. It is very expensive to have other keys made, and I would be in real trouble if I lost this one key. Of course, the car salesman told me he only made $100 on the sale, etc. Thanks in advance.

?For men only please! Years ago my ex-husband left for an older woman and married her. We were not divorced.? I didn't press charges. He came back, told me that he left me due to I was too nice of a person. (I cared for him during a rare disease that left him paralyzed, shortly after marriage, sticking by him for 10 years.) He wanted to know the name of the perfume I always wore, so he could buy it for HER. He sold his truck just after getting with her and saved his trucks floor mats that I had bought him and told her that they were from a good friend, after she asked why he did not sale them with the truck. He gave me half the money from the truck. He also asked if I would file our taxes jointly without her knowing and could he have my popular stuffing recipe. I did not give him anything and told him to get lost and completed the divorce myself. Our divorce was final 3 months after they married. I am long since over him regardless of what anyone might think but I am still stumped by his actions. Please explain your theory and why.

Free Cruise/Disney/Vegas Vacation..attempt to sell timeshares? I recieved one of those booklets in the mail that says ive won a free vacation on a cruise ship, or other destinations such as disney and vegasa. On the back it says "adv. mat'l used for soliciting sales of vacation ownership plans." Im assuming you have to attend a timeshare seminar. Has anyone actually followed through with one of these offers? Id love to go on the "free" vacation, even if i have to partcipate in the timeshare seminar. I just have a hard time believing they'd give you the free vacation eventhough you're going to say no to the timeshare. Also...is the vacation free from the start? or do you have to pay first?
