How can I get home camera movies to look like Hollywood movies?
Ok now I am not talking about explosions and stunts and all of that I am simply referring to the fact that home movies have a distinct crisp appearance yet the Hollywood movies seem to be filtered to look, I don't know how to describe it, matted, filtered, smoother. Even in some Hollywood movie DVDs special features you can see the behind the scenes and it seems like a home movie it has that crispy clear type look but the actual movie seems, well, like a movie. Seems I don't even know what I am trying to say because otherwise I would google it. I don't know the technical term for it .

- Well first what kind of camera are you using? That plays a role. Another thing to consider is film is much like using any other kind of camera, treat it just like composing a shot with a 35mm SLR. What I mean by that is you have to consider lighting with the highest regard. Also your exposuree does your video camera have anaperturee setting? If do that will play a role. Most important, if your using digital do you have any video editing software. Apple products are great for this < Final Cut Studio>, very user friendly forbeginnerss and enough features and power to meet even professional demands.
- Hold the camera very steady. Use a mount whenever possible. Sweep the surroundings very slowly- any quick motion of the camera looks amateur. You can put lenses over your aperture. Pink makes the skies look dramatic..
