Photoshop Effect to Simulate Mat on Picture Frame?
Not sure how to do this, and can't find a tutorial. Instead of me spending the money on a mat for a photo I want to put in a frame, I want to just print the picture out with a simulated mat. I'll probabably do a double mat. anyone know the steps, or a filter, or a step by step guide? thanks so much!

- go in photoshop "file"and do "new" and put in the dimensions of the mat ( bigger than the dimensions of the photo) and then paste the picture into the "new" box and "edit" then use "free transform" to fit the photo into your mat box. it wont have the raised effect that a mat has, it will just be more like a white border. you can use a brush with a low opacity to give the effect of a shadow around the edges of the picture to give it more of a "mat" look, but thats really it. You can also add a fancy watermark on the bottom of the white frame you can buy pre-cut mat boards for like 4 dollars or less at Michael's craft store in the framing section. :)
