Wholesale Matting

Question about unframed photography?

I see some photography for sale that is matted and unframed. It is wrapped in something that looks like plastic wrap - is that a product such as Saran or Glad Wrap or is it something else specifically for photos?

1. I would say that it means that a photographer gives you a choice on the frame...
2. Its for sure not saran or glad wrap....if you go to places such as b&h.com...or even like staples or office maxx...under presentation they have bags that are made specifically for prints that are acid free etc.
3. We used to use shrink wrapping, a plastic film that is sealed around the item then it shrinks to fit when it's heated with a blow-dryer. Saran wrap looks like Saran wrap... very unprofessional. Now you can buy a product called Crystal Clear Bags, they are acid-free and archival, come in nearly any size, are much cheaper than shrink wrap and look much better (and more professional). http://www.clearbags.com
