What sort of things should I make for a college craft sale?
My campus organization is probably going to have a craft sale in the fall and I have volunteered my skills for knitting and photography. It's an LGBTQ group, so I'm going to make some rainbow things... a scarf and perhaps a hat with a stripe on it. The photographs will probably be of local vistas (mountains, the lake, et cetera). But what other sorts of things should I make? I don't want it to be all rainbows... and I'm not really sure that college students are in the market for knitted goods or matted photographs.

- fill balloons with flour and then you have a home made stress ball. perfect for college
- If you knit small things like water bottle holders or cellphone cases, you should be good to go. They don't take long. I also have a simple pattern for handwarmers (takes me about 45-50 min per pair to knit up) which I would be glad to share if you're interested. These keep hands and wrists warm while leaving the fingers cmpletely free for typing or writing -- great for students in the chilly north.
- do they all have to be rainbow? how about some solid scarves.
- I am getting ready to make some crochet wide wrist bands/braclets with big buttons makes nice wrist warmers.Going to make some for my neck too and style it up with a large button simple style and functionable too. (*pic below for an idea. (make sure its soft) Coffee cup warmers/pot warmers...... Felted poppiesflower pins, felted flip flop decor or key rings. Might not be cost effective why stick to matted photos? bookmarks, photo bangle bracelet the entire photos dont have to be used. Eye pillows made with flax seed and herbs.. Sounds silly but I have been wanting a tote made out of grocery shopping bags. Thank you note sets, just 3-or 4 to a set. Just a few ideas..........
- beaded badge or ID holders those little charms that some people put on their cell phones. cell phone holders.
- I would do some small knitted items to match a college student's budget: cell phone and ipod cases, small purses, headbands, neckwarmers, belts, chokers, etc. Doll some of them up with a bit of fun specialty yarns. Use school colors on some.
