Wholesale Matting

How much would you pay for this art?

Consider fine art paintings, done from photographs. If you owned a home, would you be interested in purchasing such a painting, 18.5 x 11, of your house and a portion of your yard, from a skilled and talented artist? And if so, how much would you pay for it? Matted, framed, and any lettering could be included, and a brass plate mounted on the front with your last name (or what ever) could be an option included in the price. I am not soliciting here...I am simply considering this as a business and wanted to get a feel from just a few folks on here if they would ever want such an item.

1. It would be kind of neat, as long as you have a nice or charismatic house, but I dont think I would be willing to pay much more than $100 or so for one.
2. This is donr already by some established artists, you should get on tyhe net and google it.
3. In my opinion, I think you have a great idea..personally if I wanted something realistic...I'd take a color or black and white picture and frame it. Using a white matt and black frame...but if I wanted a painting....I'd make it impressionistic...with a lose feel to it.....I hope this helps you and good luck in your art. You also asked what would someone pay...I'd set a price using this method: 1/3 for the frame, 1/3 for the labor, and 1/3 for the art itself. Best of luck!
4. All goes to marketing and of course quality of the painting. I think it is a good idea. Anywhere from $250-$600 with frame/matting....
